Constant-pressure booster systems

A complete approach
to changing demand.

Bring the pump, control and pressure feedback into one defined configuration. Start with the available inlet conditions and the outlets that need to operate together.

Define a booster system

Configuration support

Build the system around demand.

Share the available inlet pressure and the outlets that run together. The pump, controls and connections can then be considered as one scope.

A short description or an existing model is enough to start.

Agree what is included

The pump is one part
of the supply scope.

Pump, control and accessories.
An agreed equipment scope.

Define the demand

Pressure at the outlet.
Conditions at the inlet.

Where is pressure needed, and under what flow? A pressure reading with all outlets closed does not describe the same duty as water flowing through the installation.

Peak demand
Which outlets operate together and the flow they require.
Required pressure
Pressure needed at the point of use, plus the delivery elevation and route.
Lowest inlet condition
Available inlet pressure while running, or the lowest tank level relative to the pump.
Demand pattern
Quiet periods, peak use and the required start/stop behaviour.
System scope
New equipment or existing components, available power and required documents.

Choose the right starting point.

01

A new booster configuration

Discuss the complete equipment scope, including pump, controls, pressure feedback and installation interfaces.

Build the system brief
02

Control for an existing pump

Keep the current pump details together with the motor nameplate and the required pressure-control function.

Before you choose

A few useful
questions.

Does this page describe one integrated product?

It describes a system configuration to be agreed for your application. A specific model, bill of materials and operating range are identified in the proposal.

Is the requested outlet pressure the pressure the pump must add?

The duty also depends on available inlet pressure, elevation and pipe losses. Keep those conditions separate so the required pump contribution can be assessed.

Can more than one pump be considered?

Describe the flow variation, availability requirements and installation space. The number of pumps and operating sequence must be defined for the proposed arrangement.

Your next step

Build the supply around your demand.

Tell us the inlet conditions, simultaneous flow and pressure needed at the outlets.
